The guitar as a solo instrument has a wide, exacting and rich repertoire. Part of that repertoire concerns music that has been transcribed from the repertoire of other instruments or instrumental combinations. Guitar Duet adds to the possibilities of repertoire significantly, whilst encouraging an ensemble collaboration.

I have added to this structure the element of voice. Many songs, composed over the years, have accompaniments that are simply too technically demanding to be transcribed for one guitar. However, adding the dimension of Guitar Duet opens up new and exciting possibilities. It allows for a wider pitch range, more extended keys and rapid articulation within a harmonic framework, that would be impossible on a singly instrument.
