The Guitar Duet is a highly regarded ensemble in its own right. Over the years the repertoire has developed and the number of Guitar Duos has increased. My intention, with this website, is to gradually add to this repertoire and to encourage guitarists to work together more regularly and collaboratively.

I have chosen music that is not heard very much anymore, not because the music itself is intrinsically second rate, but because time and the inclination of people tends to alter fashion. The music that I have chosen is composed by fine musicians and in the case of Bach, by a musician of genius. The student material, I hope, will encourage collaboration from the early or intermediate stages of musical development and go some way to help reinvigorate music, from the past, that deserves a wider audience.
